Ways you can get involved

Street Industries’ core initiatives are the Street Smart Program, Real8 Program and Project Reimagine. Here are the volunteer roles within these programs and across the organisation:

    Street Smart Volunteers

    The Street-Smart Project (SSP) is a platform for young people to be active participants in their communities whilst developing the skills and knowledge to provide peer support.

    Youth Volunteer Ambassadors/Advocates

    Represent Street Industries at community events and for different audiences, as well as facilitate community outreach & information sessions.

    Real8 Program Mentors

    Real8 mentoring aims to provide a purposeful, structured and trusting relationship, that brings young people together with caring individuals who offer guidance, support and encouragement.

  • Intern/Research Assistant

    Interns & Research assistants have the opportunity to work on projects and various tasks related to research and policy in community and criminal justice. You may assist with the following but not limited to data analysis, research, policy development, policy implementation, literature reviews, program evaluation, report writing and law reform.

  • Board Members

    Sitting on the Board of Directors in a variety of potential roles, determine oversight and provide support for strategic planning organization-wide.

  • Virtual Volunteers/Pro Bono Volunteers

    Offering professionals, the opportunity to give back by providing mentoring or specialist support/service to organisational departments or directly to our communities.

Our partners make a big difference by sharing skills knowledge and resources to accelerate our social impact to ensure meaningful and long-term outcomes in local communities. Street Industries partners with companies, governments, charitable foundations, and academic institutions to collectively address society's most complex social problems.
